Recently learned the answer to ‘do we really need another ranch dressing recipe?’ is always yes.
My favorite hack for taco night is making a quick sauce using mayo, sour cream, milk, and a ranch seasoning packet. Don’t mess with a good thing!! Hidden Valley even sells their ranch seasoning in bulk… Kris and I learned that from the chef at one of our favorite restaurants who uses is it for his mashed potatoes. Mind blown.
This ranch dressing has canned green chiles, hot sauce, and cilantro. It adds flavor without being overpowering.
Ingredients
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 packet of ranch seasoning
2 oz (1/2 can) of green chiles (use the other half in your tacos + side dishes!)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon of your favorite Cholula hot sauce (I use original for this)
1/3 cup cilantro
Instructions:
Add everything except the cilantro into your blender, blend until smooth and fully combined. Add the cilantro in and pulse a few times.
Serve immediately OR refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors mingle, then serve.
Pour into a jar and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
