Honey Sriracha Wings

just one more reason I love my air fryer!! BUT if you do not have an air fryer, you can still make these!!

You'll need:

  • 16 bone in wings, cut like they would be in a restaurant, flats & drums

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1 teaspoon onion salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • 1/3 cup sriracha

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

  • sesame seeds for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees. If using the oven, preheat to 450 degrees - line a baking sheet with aluminum and top with a oven safe cooling rack, spray with cooking oil.

  2. Dry all your wings with a paper towel. Mix the flour and seasonings together in a bowl then one at a time, add a wing to the mix and turn until lightly coated. Place wings on a plate as you finish coating them. Lightly spray the wings with cooking oil or drizzle with oil.

  3. Add your wings into the air fryer so that they are not on top of each other, I am able to do 8 at a time in mine which means this recipe is done in two batches. For the oven, spread them out on the baking rack so that they are not touching each other.

  4. For the air fryer, cook 25 minutes at 380, flipping after 13 minutes. For the oven - cook 30 minutes, flip, then cook another 20 minutes.

  5. When the wings have 5 minutes left, add the sriracha, honey, rice vinegar and sesame oil to a skillet, sauce pan, or wok. Head over low - medium heat and mix the sauce together. When the wings are done, lightly golden and crispy, add them to the sauce and toss until coated then turn the heat up to medium and let the sauce get sticky.

  6. Remove and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately!
