Watermelon Spicy Margarita

This one is for all you sweet spicy ladies!!

You’ll need

  • 3 cups watermelon chunks

  • 1 jalapeño

  • 1 mint bunch

  • 3 limes

  • 2 oz tequila (type is up to personal preference)

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 teaspoon tajin

Instructions [mason jar]

  1. Add about 6 jalapeño slices and 10 mint leaves to the bottom of a large mason jar. Squeeze in the juice from 2 of the limes. Use a muddler or something similar to muddle it all.

  2. Blend the watermelon and strain into the mason jar using a fine mesh strainer. This might take a minute but it helps to use a spoon or fork to stir it while it strains.

  3. Add in ice cube and tequila. Tighten the lid and shake until cold.

  4. Add salt and tajin to a plate. Use a lime wedge to wet the rim of each glass. Dip each rim into the tajin salt and swirl until coated.

  5. Add ice cubes into two glasses. Pour the marg mix into each glass using the mason jar lid to strain in just the liquid.

  6. Garnish with fresh mint, jalapeño slices, a lime wedge, and a watermelon triangle!

Note: you can also start by doing the tajin rim then middle the lime, mint, and jalapeño slices right in the glass. Shake the watermelon juice and tequila with ice in a jar or cocktail shaker. Split between the glasses, add in ice cubes, garnish and you’re all set!
